Ben's Mustang

Picture taken at Pinks All Out at Houston Raceway Park in early 2007.  I was the #1 qualifier out of the 350+ cars that ran that day, and hence "too fast" to be picked for the show.

This was my first time running in FFW Street Renegade.  I got my butt handed to me, but was the only car with an A/A intercooler, no wheelie bars, and a turbo smaller than 90mm (true 88mm).

*Cool Updates*

  • 1/27/07 - The car now has a GT47-88 as well as new wheels and brakes!

  • 9/27/05 - The person whom I sold the hood too off of the convertible was nice enough to make a deal with me so I could get it back.  The 6" hood on the coupe was too high for my taste and I wanted the lower 4" hood back that was on the convertible.  This hood has some sentimental value to me as I had a "tumor" installed on the passenger side of the cowl to clear the turbo's discharge tube where it goes into the throttle body.  It's a little bit of custom work that makes it unique.  Also, when the vert was wrecked Billy Glidden signed it...unfortunately you can't see the signature anymore.  So the damage to it was repaired and it needed to be repainted.  I took the opportunity to have some custom artwork done on it.  You can see the final product here!

  • 7/20/05 - I've done some clean up on the site to remove dead links and some old pics.
The video of the new car is back online.  See it HERE!

Most of the videos I've made can be seen here.

  • 5/16/05 - Are you wondering why there isn't a pic of the Saleen on this web page anymore?  Well, I have bad news and good news.  The bad news is that the vert was rear-ended while parked in the parade row waiting for the first pass of FFW/Lousiana True Street.  You can see pics of the carnage here.  The good news is that within 3 days of the wreck I bought a new chassis and within 4 weeks the entire drivetrain and wiring harness was swapped into a new chassis (pictured above).  There's also a VIDEO of the new car.

A HUGE THANKS to my family and friends for lending me a hand in this swap.  Thank you to my wife Liz, Nick (you are DAH MAN!!!), Joseph, Shane, Brent, Kyle, Mike, Carl, and David.

  • 5/13/04 - The vert made it into 5.0 Mustang Magazine.  You can see the article here.
